The Toronto Blue Jays broke a three-game losing streak Wednesday, earning a massive 6-1 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.
Shortstop Bo Bichette contributed two hits and a run scored to the Blue Jays' effort, but his defensive play late may have saved the game for Toronto.
In a scoreless game in the top of the seventh, Bichette made a spectacular barehand pickup on the run to throw out Baltimore's Ryan Mountcastle for the second out of the inning.

Bichette's play swung the momentum of the game quickly. The Blue Jays not only got out of the inning unscathed but went on to post six runs in the bottom of the half, cruising to the victory.
Long criticized for his defense, Bichette has committed 13 errors while sitting at -9 in defensive runs saved this season.
The 24-year-old has 17 home runs and 64 RBI at the plate, slashing .259/.300/.427 in 113 games.
Bichette and the Blue Jays currently occupy the third and final wildcard spot in the American League with a 62-54 record. Wednesday's win gives Toronto a 1.0 game lead over the Minnesota Twins and a 1.5 game lead over the Orioles and White Sox.
