As if the Charlotte Hornets didn't have enough injuries to deal with, forward P.J. Washington left Friday night's game in Chicago with an ankle injury in the final seconds of the opening quarter and did not return.
Washington did not score but did record three rebounds and two assists in six minutes of action.
Despite returning to a bench role, Washington has been nearly just as effective as he was a year ago. Through 29 games played, Washington is averaging 13.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists.
There is no timetable for Washington's return.
