The Tommy DeVito craze in New York ended on Monday. Giants head coach Brian Daboll benched the undrafted quarterback at halftime of the team's Christmas Day game at Philadelphia.

New York trailed 20-3 after two quarters with DeVito going 9-of-16 for 55 yards.
Backup Tyrod Taylor came in following an Eagles fumble on the second half's opening kickoff and handed the ball off three times to running back Saquon Barkley for the Giants' first touchdown to cut Philly's lead to 10.

DeVito became a cult hero earlier this season after leading New York to three consecutive victories.
Earlier on Monday, DeVito appeared on Fox's pregame show and revealed that Yankees slugger Aaron Jones even recently picked up his tab at a New York restaurant.
#Giants QB Tommy DeVito was having dinner in NYC last week when Aaron Judge also happened to be there. The waiter told DeVito that Judge picked up his tab.

During his three-game winning streak, DeVito was 52-of-72 (72.2%) for 595 yards and five touchdowns.
DeVito struggled in Week 15 against the Saints and again during the first half against the Eagles, combining to go 29-of-50 (58%) for 232 yards and no touchdowns.
Daboll's decision to bench him for Taylor could be the final nail in his run as the Giants starter, but his magical run was undoubtedly the highlight of New York's season.
