Texans’ Stefon Diggs Already Working Out With C.J. Stroud
Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Texans acquired wide receiver Stefon Diggs in a blockbuster trade with the Buffalo Bills last week, and Diggs is already getting work in with quarterback C.J. Stroud.

Twitch streamer Sketch hosted an Instagram Live this past weekend, and during the session, Diggs was working out with Stroud and fellow wide outs Tank Dell and John Metchie III.

That Diggs is already getting in some reps with Stroud and his teammates in early April is a great sign for the Texans heading into 2024.

Houston has become a must-watch team going into next season after acquiring Diggs, who will join a receiving corps that already includes Dell and Nico Collins. Plus, Stroud, who just put forth one of the best rookie seasons ever, will be throwing them the football.

That’s not all the Texans did this offseason, either.

They also signed one of the top pass rushers in football in Danielle Hunter, giving Houston a lethal duo of Hunter and Will Anderson Jr. on the edge.

But obviously, the move that really caught everyone’s attention was the trade for Diggs.

Diggs spent the last four years of his career with the Bills, making four straight trips to the Pro Bowl. He also earned a First-Team All-Pro selection back in 2020 after leading the NFL in both receptions and receiving yards.

This past season, Diggs hauled in 107 receptions for 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns, although his production was heavily frontloaded. He logged five 100-yard performances over his first six games and did not register a single 100-yard outing the rest of the way.

There were some clear issues between Diggs and Josh Allen, and some of those problems are coming to light now that the Bills have moved on from Diggs.

We’ll see if the Texans’ loaded roster on paper can translate into on-field success next season. All eyes will be on Stefon Diggs. That’s for sure.
